I got assaulted by a club employee! (he got arrested)

I went to a club with my girlfriend. We had a great time and when I wanted to leave it was time to pick up our stuff, however they didnt give us our umbrella back. My girlfriend said it was ok, but I was not content with this and so I went inside, where they keep all the clothes and had a look for an umbrella.

Suddently a Chinese guy working there came to me and told me get out of there immediately (in Chinese). I said I just look for my umbrella and then he started fighting with fists. I hit back and after a few minutes the fight was over. I went outside the clothes room. I was bleeding and so I called the police.

In a few minutes the police came and arrested the offender. I went with them to give all details about what happened. As we arrived after a photo of my wound has been made I went to the hospital to get it stiched with 3 stiches. (I had to pay for the operation, before I could receive it). After I paid around 35$ they stiched it (without anestaesia), checked my eyesight, and gave me some medicine.

We returned to the police station, gave them the hospital report, filed a police report and I had to decide wheter I want that this person who hit me gets sued. If yes, he would be sued by the People's Republic of China.

I talked to him and asked him if he thinks what he has done to me was right. And he said he did nothing bad, because it was his job to do what he did. When I asked him if his job was to assault customers, he didn't say anything. He had no feeling of guilt, no feeling of regret.

If the police would ask you after all this happened to you, would you sue him? (which would mean that he ends up in jail for only 15 days maximum, and the record of his violent assault would stay in his report until his death)

Would you?

Nah. I'd let him go but your decision.

I didnt sew him, but I asked for 2000 RMB (that's around 200 Euros, or 300 dollars).

He earns probably 1500 per month.

I think I will give half of this money to a charity! (Maybe to an orphanage in my hometown.)

So he makes about 225 dollars a month. Thats extremely poor. And now you took more than a month's wage away from him. Way to go dude.
