If I enjoy living..

Well sure, I like being alive, thinking for myself and experience shit in life.
But there are so many downers, I mean, just seeing bad shit at the news sucks, but sometimes I wonder when I feel intimidated if I like my life, I do average at school, that's cool, but I wonder if I can get a, I dont know, gal, or later a wife, make children. And my every school day thing, wake up early, go to school, being a nerd looking guy etc. I also feel easily intimidated by other people on the street, need to get that away.


Life is okay, but I hope my life gets better in the future.

I enjoy being who I am. I'm content with myself.

Do I enjoy my life? Not really, I lack a couple essential things of which acquisition doesn't depend on me, specially one of them.

You have to understand your life as a product of several intrinsic (within yourself) and extrinsic (external) factors. Several of those intrinsic factors do not depend on yourself, for example, genetic traits and traits acquired during your mother's pregancy which were dependand both on factors intrinsic and extrinsic to your mother. These intrinsic factors can be determinant in some other intrinsic factors that depend on you, intrinsic factors like your knowledge, your capability to understand certain things, your capability enhance yourself physically which nonetheless are also extrinsicly dependant.

Within extrinsic factors you will find anything from environmental circumstances to the characteristics of the people you interact with and the rules of interaction that reign the relationships between them with themselves and you. Among these you find economic and political means of organization which are entirely dependant on the collective and environment, these determine material conditions which themselves have profound impacts within your life and the lives of those all within the community where you develop which, in such a communicatively developed world as the one we have now ranges from your family to the entire world.

Once you understand this you can understand to what an extent do things in your life depend on you and how many things within your life do not depend on you.

For example, some may argue that your capability to manage yourself within your environment is intrinsic, yet, it is not entirely intrinsic as the way in which you manage yourself within community is determined by the kind of community and environment you have. To a great extent you're a product of your environment. Your language, your knowledges, your culture, your values, your physical traits, all of them come from factors extrinsic to you.

A lot within your life doesn't depend on you. From the color of your hair, your mothertongue and your genes to whether cows get extinct and the Netherlands will be bombed by the Royal Navy of Britain or not. They impact your life, but you can't determine them or they're not entirely dependant on you.

You ca change things within your life in accordance to the resources you have at hand, self knowledge and the determinantion of objectives.

If you want to change something within your life, think why you want to change it, what for, how to achieve it and the implications it may have and you can do this through introspection and reflexion.

Get to know yourself as much as you can so you can determine what you want. Then know as much as you can from what is outside you to know whether you can go for it, or not, to what extent and how.

This is to some extent linked to why (partially) some of us socialists are socialist in the first place. We acknowledge that we live in a very economicallly, culturally and politically hostile environment, making a lot of anthropogenic extrinsic factors unfavrourable for most of the members of the human community which eventually affects the entire community, even those within priviledged positions. Nature is already hostile enough for us, it makes things to us hard enough already, why should we make them yet harder ourselves? And for some of us, many personal things are already hard and painful enough, why should basic things like eating, drinking, clothing and shelter be also that hard when they could be other way around? We want anthropogenic factors to be as favourable as possible so we as species can cope at maximum effectiveness with whatever hostility our environment may come up with, to be as strong as community as possible. All we humans can count on for development is other humans.

Eh. I'm content. I mean, I'd prefer being RICH, but I'm good. I mean, it could be a LOT worse. i could NOT be living with my parents, having bills and no job to pay them with, no food. I could be in a third world country starving. I could be in jail, and God knows I've done some stuff to GET me there. You know, I'm pretty good.

Oh, and JESUS, Zeal. He asked if you were content. You make an epic post to "Are you content?"

becuase no matter where you are in life, you could always find something to improve on( or so you think) and you wont be happy anymore

I wanna change my answer. EVERYTHING to do with technology in my life sucks, and can go to fucking hell, where it can be anally rapped by the many denizins of the depths.
