| Sort of. I used to hate my family. They were authoritarian and controlling (this was before i was a socialist). Then, outta nowhere, my dad (parents are divorced) just stopped. He told me i didn't have to go to church anymore if i didn't want to, so i didn't; it wasn't even a trap, cos he never even said anything about it. And he has completely accepted my socialist views since the moment i told him, and explained to him, i was a socialist. Now he's even got a pretty good grasp of what communism and anarchism actually are, rather than the tainted views put out by the media. He still wouldn't let me smoke weed in his apartment, when i lived with him, but that was because he was afraid of getting kicked out (so he's just dumb, not controlling anymore).
Now we get along better than ever.

My parents are OK as long as you dont live with them.
I rented for bout three years after I left school - now I live back at home because Im starting collage in sep - BASTARDS well the da - my ma's ok
I think theyl split up eventually - it would be better for everyone !
I dont know how Il get through collage with that dickhead on my back
Whenever your studying or doing projects ect he tells you 2 do stuff coz he thinks your dosing -or something. If he starts that shit when im collage Il pop him in the f'''g nose !
I would have stayed renting but I cant do collage full time and work |

Yeah my mom doesnt seem to have any objections to me being an anarchist. its more theological conflict in our house. she wont let me drive my car unless i keep the jesus fish on the back  but yeah last year she knew i was smoking but objected to it. im straight edge now so its no problem i just wish she'd back of on the god shit |

haha, ya i hear that. My key ring still has a jesus fish on it from when my dad bought it for me five years ago. I just don't care enough to get a new one. I wonder if anyone's made any assumptions cos of it? I would think not many have seen it.

Ya, the one thing i don't like about my dad is that we can't debate (he's pretty smart and i enjoy debate) cos all his views stem from his religion. I mean, he's a good guy and all, but it's annoying when i know everything he's gonna say (cos i've read the bible a few times). Makes debating him pointless.

Yep, that's how it was for me. My mom always let me play violent video games and listen to rap, and stuff like that, but my dad just banned it all. Now my dad has just given up i think, so he doesn't say anything.

Ya, i never regretted my parents' divorce. I think that had something to do with my dad loosenin up. After they let me choose who i wanted to live with, i obviously chose my mom. My dad was probably all butt hurt, and that's why he's not so controlling anymore.

Yup. Luckily i only have a few classes before i get my degree, so the hard times are almost over.
I think, with the money i save on college expenses after college, i'm just gonna smoke and drink til i'm spinnin like a mother fucker. I don't puke like most, so i actually enjoy that feeling, haha.

Are you impliying one cannot be ignorant? haha, so what if conciousness is determinded by material conditions? ignorance is not a state of conicousness. ignorance is to IGNORE that which you are already concious of. |

| lol My bros all capitalist, so we debate. I don't talk about political stuff with my parents all that much. My dad is a chemist for the goverment, and when I was a kid he taught me about science and stuff, but as I got older every one else learned science and I learned religion. Science made more scence to them, and religion to me. My parents aren't very religous so once I tried to look for a bible (were the porn was stashed) and I was like sh!t what am I gonna say if they see me. "I was looking for the bible not porn" sound convincing? I never found it... And also, like I said my dad works for the Government so hes a capitalist. Hes pretty liberal but hes probably more on the green side (he works for the EPA).
My parent piss(ed) me off, but after a while they kind of gave up. They still cared about me, and made me do bull sh!t, but their ok. They also try to get me to do structured shi!t and I'm like WTF! and I don't have a choice and I hate it and I get depressed and their like "a structured activity mite make you less depressed" and growing up part of me felt like they didn't care that much about me (even though they obviosly did) because we had a guest room, but I didn't have my own room. (I slept in the guest room usually though even though me and my bro shared a room cause we use to fight a lot.) |
