I personally loved it's use. It gave a lovely operatic flavour to the game. MUCH better in feeling to the despaired tones of the first game. Just gave the whole game a sence of culture that it desperately needed in my opinion. That's not to say a gloomy tone doesn't fit, just that a cultured tone is better. MUCH better.
