| Today (Wednesday April 9) Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez nationalized the Italian-Argentinian Ternium Sidor steel company's plants in Venezuela. Chavez says he took the action due to labor abuses by the company, and their unwillingness to deal with unions. Workers themselves at the plants are glad of the takeover due to Ternium's inept labor rights policy.

He keeps his word!
I congratulate him!
(some months ago he opened new state owned textile factory)
Workers and the director earn the same wage, and the director said she is happy and doesnt mind getting the same salary, even though she is in charge. She said she was unemployed before, but now she is in charge of a newly built factory which produces uniforms for the Venezuelian army.
Hugo Chavez is Number 1! |

He did it because the steel workers were demanding that the firm be nationalized.

He did it because the steel workers were demanding that the firm be nationalized. |
right! he spent billions becuse the workers were complaing!
he just saw the oppritunity for an exuse. |

no, he wants the workers to be happy, because if they will be happy and if their happiness will be shown in the TV, all Venezuelans will see it and the majority will vote for him again! |
