Wow! I can't believe it!

After I clicked on a link from the following thread

it opened the following page

Well, what's the situtation in Tibet? Are the majority happy? Or are they as Western media says?

I want to learn more about China's relationship with Tibet. I honestly think, while they are doing many good things over there, the bad things just get all the unfair media coverage.

The majority of Tibetans dont care who is in charge, all they care about is if they have a good living standard or a bad one.

With China they are better off, however there are som teenagers who like play gangsters and beat up Chinese civil population just out of racial hatred.

And matta, most of the "China's bad" crap comes from extremely biased Western reporters who LOVE to slander China every chence they get. Heck, most Western reporters haven't even lived in China to actually experience both sides.

So they tend to "focus" on the bad side, seeing as China's government isn't the "Western" way. Most Chinese (and the 55 other minorities) simply don't care about politics or whatever, as they see they have to live their own lives the best they can.

However, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Wink

China is not as great as you think. Out in the countryside it is still very poor. they need to socialize more but they are to worried about money that there is corruption. I have a friend from China whos father is in charge of a city but he said that in other cities there is corruption

Well, there really isn't much in the way of worker involvement. Mao doesn't really believe that workers are necessary in a workers movement. Hard to discredit this, since we can point to no evidence, but i would hardly call it a workers state, from this perspective. And just saying it's a "deformed workers state" doesn't mean it isn't capitalist. It just means their goals aren't capitalist.

I wouldn't judge China so soon. They 'say' they're trying to highly industrialise for a translation into socialism. If in the next ten years or they don't make good on their word, then make your decision (since they're pretty highly industrialised at this point). I'd say, just keep an open mind for now.

Hey! Remember when some peaceful protesters were just sorta hanging out in Tianamen Square when the Chinese dictators sic'd the tanks on them? Remember how that one guy was like FUCK YOU and stood in front of the tank, then hopped on it, started banging on the top, climbed off and stood there some more? That guy's my hero!
