Anyone else watch it? (Anyone else have a good laugh?)
It was all about this raging health-care debate.
The hitherto consistent childishness of our glorious representatives persisted per usual. This just added to the comedic value of the thing.
His political strategy was sound (lip-service anyone?), but the actual content of his message was suspect. He expects that his plan will add nothing to the national deficit, which i find rather perplexing. We'll certainly know for sure in years to come whether this is true or just more political posturing.
I also found some of Obama's speech to be downright laughable; for instance glorifying competition while at the same time criticizing its natural culmination: That one of the competing parties should win; He was referring here to the 4 or 5 companies who control about 75% of health care in 34 states.
Anyone else see anything worth noting?
