| I love the guy, and he's done fairly for the most part, but is not being Bush really qualification for this? I mean they've sited his attempts at pecetalks and such, but really, I think some of the other cadidates are more deserving. I think people have just been so burned out by Bush that Obama sees to many to be a God. Even Obama himself (Though admitedly this might just be him being polite) said he doesn't think he deserves it. _________________ "Jenaveve took everything from me. My friends, My family, Everything! | Yeah he hasnt been in the office for a year yet and he already got something? I think someone else deserves it, but you know those guys there are dumb, they once gave a nobel price of peace to mother theresa, and she is evil. | I think I'm the only person on the left who is actually happy that he won it. I'm talking to Marcus on Facebook and he said "I'm really not sure what makes you different from liberals." _________________ |

| The nobel peace prize has been cheapened in the past, it was cheapened when they gave it to Obama ('cheapened' is a massive understatement), and it'll likely be cheapened in the future for some other american president who puts fancy rhetoric before action; let's remember that Obama hasn't done jackshit yet, and what he has done has been detrimental to peace. At best this is a political move by the committee to motivate his lying ass. In the end though, it's hard for me to care since this is the same committee which couldn't decide between Ghandi and Hitler, if i'm not mistaken. | WeiWuWei wrote: | | I think I'm the only person on the left who is actually happy that he won it. |
Why? _________________ "A market economy must comprise all elements of industry including labor, land and money [...] But labor and land are no other than the human beings themselves of which every society consists and the natural surroundings in which it exists. To include them in the market mechanism means to subordinate the substance of society itself." --Karl Polanyi--

| He one it basically for "Optimism in dark times" which is the exact same as Elie Wiesel, so you might as well complain about that too. I don't agree with Obama wining it, but Im not gonna complain. |
