EATG is the FARTHEST thing from the actual real life sniper. The setting was Stalingrad (which BTW, was one of the most human tragedies EVER, for both German and Russian) and what did the movie do?
Protray the Red Army as backstabbers who didn't give a damn about their own (back then, they really didn't but not as the movie showed it) and turned it into a severely misplaced romance story.
Ugh...I hated it.
The German movie "Stalingrad" is MUCHO better. Although it is from the German view, it shows both sides just as human as the other.

Oh. My bad then. But still, the movie was simply Hollywood propaganda. I personally didn't like it other than the music. The music was <3. ^^
Although he wasn't the greatest sniper of all time, he did set the standard for the rules of sniping today.
