And to be honest, the minorities really have an advantage over the majority Han, because its easier for them to get into universities, and thus get better jobs.

Your kidding right? In China? lol no, I can't imagine that. Maybe minorties get better jawbs and easier to pass exams(like here) in Western countries, but in Police China? The police is probably bashing extra hard on the minorties. No I do not got a source, but saying minorties get that in China, doesnt seem true for me.

They don't have an advantage in terms of being treated better by officials, but they have an advantage in the job market.

More proof China isnt communist.

Take Cuba for example. ANYONE can go to college, for free.

Just more info concerning preferential treatment of minorities in China:

1. They are exempt from the famous one child per family rule.
2. They are preferred over the Han majority in job placement (Ex: If two people are of different races but of the same qualifications, the minority will get the job)
3. Minorities have easier requirements to qualify for college entrance exams.

That is not to say that the Chinese government treats minorities particularly well, but it is easy to see the resentment between the Han and the Uighurs.

Interesting point of view Liche, but I don't know if I would agree.
