"communism dose not work" that's because people crave power, wealth, and status. People for the most part are inheriently greedy. Those that are not are often corrupted by wealth and power later on.

Anyway, I think that china still has many labor law issues to be dealt with, and before they need to worry about minimum wage they should adress saftey issues in alot of the idustries. Mine working for example is extremely dangerous in China due to lack of saftey codes or inspections.
They are growing economically because they have become more open to letting outside investors in and allowing for a more open trade market.

Actually Chinas isolasion policy which lasted a few hundred years, including around 19th century plumbed it into backwardness, not communism.

While it was still a monarchy foreign powers invaded it, and China couldnt defend itself.

With Chinese Communists seizing power, and with huge aid from USSR, China became a strong military power and an industrialised nation!

correct.
but china is a new super power and many pepole are afraid of what china will do when it finally complytly overtakes the u.s .

China cannot promote a doctrine it doesn't follow, that is, it cannot promote communism.

It will be in my view some sort of non-imperialist USA with a "red" face which will, as it is doing right now, take advantage of other countries' imperialisms.

I'd say communism hasn't been even tried to be established because all the "attempts" to establish it have been employing capitalism.

China can't be poor: full of resources and workforce and having a vast territory.

They're simply following the path to make their state capitalism to function more efficiently than it did.

I personally think China is on it's way to the great nation it once was back during the Dynasties of the old...

It will take a while for them to get there, but I have absolute confidence that they can and will. Simply because of one thing that most Westerns can not and WILL NOT bear to understand.

Tradition. ^^

Look, everybody, as a Chinese, I see that Communism has been virtually destroyed in it. Political regulations are tight, but economic regulations virtually don't exist anymore. Yet the children still sing the age old songs of Communism, and I have no doubt that their parents still do, too.

China's economy got better after a combination of the shedding of state property and the embracing of a more open policy.
