Here's an interesting essay by Albert Einstein...

I was just posting this for Kenzu. The quote Oligarch gave pretty much sums it up.

I had no idea that Einstein had socialist tendencies. Good for him (and for us i suppose). But it's not very surprising, if only for the fact that Einstein is an astute man; anyone with half a brain can see the detriments that capitalism creates.

Anyway, thanks for posting that essay comrade. It was very interesting.

he also sucked at school. I think his IQ is grosly over estimated. By todays standards he might have actually been under the line.

Yes he had problems with conventional modes of thought ie rote learning.
He was a genius 'because' of his ability to 'think outside the box'.
His theories are world renowned.

When you get a Nobel Prize in Physics write back. Very Happy

But guess what, the IQ test is based on Conventional Thinking so he would have scored low, I did not say he was dumb just that that IQ estimate is way off.

Don't have time for a full reply.

Conventionality is subjective. So you are only taking some peoples' views into account. And i don't like conformists, so I don't know why i'd judge Einstein's intelligence by their standard.
