2 points
Explain communism in at least one sentence:
A classless stateless international society based on a state of abundance

CORRECT!

1/2 points
Explain socialism in at least one sentence:
The Dictatorship of the proletariat, i.e. a transitional state to communism in which private property has been abolished and the workers command the state. In accordance the economy is collectivized and planned.

EXPLANATION:
Private property doesn't have to be abolished. Private property of factors of production may be abolished, but this is not a rule. The main aim of socialism is to end exploitation and to give people equal rights and opportunities. The aim of socialism isn't achieving communism, but socialism itself.

2 points
Explain capitalism in at least one sentence:
Dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. Free market labor based on private property in which workers are exploited under wage slavery.

CORRECT!

2 points
Explain democracy in at least one sentence: a form of state in which members of society vote and the majority of the votes determine an action/outcome

CORRECT!

2 points
Explain dictatorship in at least one sentence: A form of state in which a person or group of people make decisions without the input of others.

CORRECT!

2 points
Name at least one communist country:
No communist country exists or has ever existed. Although a few have overthrown capitalism.
ex.
USSR

CORRECT, although I dont understand why you have mentioned USSR, when you say that there was no communist country.

2 points
How many communist countries exist currently?
none
but 4 countries exist that have overthrown capitalism

CORRECT!
however true capitalism has been abandoned by most countries already.

1/2 points
What kind of economic system is there currently in EU countries?
(type the name of the system)
CAPITALISM

EXPLANATION:
EU has a social democracy, in other words a mix of socialism and capitalism. The aim of social democracy is to guarantee a decent living standard for all people.

0/2 points
Give a scenario when each of the following is bad:
dictatorship, democracy
Democracy for the bourgeoisie and not the proletariat
Dictatorship of the bourgeoisie

EXPLANATION: this is not a good explanation. dictatorship is bad where it is used against people and majority is bad where it is used against rights of minorities.

1/2 points
What are the strengths and weaknesses of free market and centrally planned economy. (name at least one strength and one weakness for each.)
there are no strengths of free market economy. Only weaknesses when compared to collectivized economies in which countries have leaped forward centuries in a matter of decades unaffected by the boom bust cycle of capitalism.

EXPLANATION: This might be true, however free market results in a higher economic growth since the working class is forced to work much harder than they ever would in a socialist country. If they wouldnt work that hard, they would be fired and would end up homeless and might starve to death.

The weaknesses of free market is not only inequality and huge income disparity but also "market failure". centrally planned economy has opposite weaknesses and strengths.

15/20 points

You passed, but it was very tight!
