| Not talking about the guys that do yarrrr. Talking about Online Piracy. Are you For or Against? I Personally use Piracy, to test games that i'm suspect about the quality, and use it, because you can't rent PC games, but i usually pay for the safe spots like the Orange Box, Civilization, Warcraft. But for games like Godfather, i pirated, and happy i did, because it took me 1 week to complete, and the story was dull. Oh, and when i don't feel like getting raped by the Old games pricetag... (20$ for Call of Duty 1... WTF) Your toughts? _________________ An I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. | Allright for demoing, but you know it's not used for that by most. So no, I'm against. What I'm FOR is allowing people to get a demo for your game for free a LOT easier. _________________ "Jenaveve took everything from me. My friends, My family, Everything! | Piracy manifested for a reason; people know they're getting ripped off. And though i don't usually engage in piracy, i have no principled aversion to this attempt at evening the scales. _________________ "A market economy must comprise all elements of industry including labor, land and money [...] But labor and land are no other than the human beings themselves of which every society consists and the natural surroundings in which it exists. | I am against. I have over 9000gb of the shit but it's still illigal and it's illigal for a reason. however it's bleeding unstoppable, legislating against bittorrent clients would cut human rights. it's already obvius that event the smartest developers can't beat millions of young nerds on the internet so protection is out. however film and music producers should learn to go along with the shit and find ways to make money off it, they are fucking greedy bastards I'm sure they'll find a way. Also Over 9000% of the piracy is stuff no one would ever buy anyway so proders aren't loosing as much as you would think. I'm against it, but still trying to stop it is fucking dumb, like trying to stop the chinese from doing something using the population of the vatican. _________________ stos wrote: I'm with the left commies on this one. | Oh, fuck the music companies. most peopel consider piracy to be about the games, not music. Music is even more overpriced most of the time than games, and that's saying something. _________________ "Jenaveve took everything from me. My friends, My family, Everything! | First, tax is 15% total. Second, yes, games and music being downloaded will be the deathstroke of capitalism. Yeah, right. _________________ "Jenaveve took everything from me. if all radio was free no-one would make any. if all newspapers were free no-one would make them. if TV was free no-one would make any.
1 has happend, 2 has happend in many cuntries, 3 is on the way.
games are BOOMING sales are up 10-15% everyear even though piracy is at it's most ever, it isn't affecting sales.
Piracy is just as much piracy as the video record, the tape recorder, the gramophone and cable._________________ stos wrote: I'm with the left commies on this one. Radio is free, yes, but what do we get? COMMERCIALS, same for newspapers, we have free newspapers here, almost half are advertisements.
