Oldest direct ancestor.

It used to be Lucy, aka austrailiopithicus (Not sure on spelling) as out oldest ancestor with chimps after we split from the line. This new discovery, ardipithecus ramidus (Not sure on the spelling) is older than that. She's still after that split, mind you. And I also wish to point out that we have many, many cretures from before our splitting. But, well, enjoy.

Evolution rocks. As does Ardy.

Meh, its likely we'll eventually be able to look at fossilized poop and discover what creature it came from, and determine what it looked like. (to my understanding fossilized poop is fairly common)
