Is it wrong to eat animals ?

Nah, not in and of itself. It's what happens in nature! How most of the meat is produced for commercial use is another matter...

I just got done watching a documentary about peta, They are not so much against eating meat but against cruelty in labs and slaughter houses. So i say eat meat but be ethical about it

I hate PETA, they want to make eating meat illegal because their goal is to give animals the same rights as humans, which would mean making it illegal to kill an animal, be euthanasia or for food, ban pet ownership because they consider it slavery, and ban all medical testing on animals. Almost all medicines are developed through medical research using animals. I hate how they protest at pounds because they "murder animals" when they themselves euthanize two thousand animals a year and they consider the livestock industry to be equivalent to the holocaust.

Personally I think it is wrong to eat animals if you are able to live well without meat - I would not consider it wrong for poor tribal people ect to eat meat - but in the developed world we can live without it. I eat meat but think of it as wrong given my situation.

I think that we eat meat on the assumption that we are superior to animals in
that we are more sophisticated and intelligent. However the notion of superiority is relative eg we may see a monkey as inferior therefore see no wrong in killing and eating it - but the monkey thinks the same of the rodent and the rodent of the insect and so on. We can assume given the fact that the universe is infinte that other forms of life may see us as nothing more than ants - given that inteligance is relative. It is also worth remembering that animals only eat to survive they do not have 'choice' as we do.

I think that if we eat animals when we do not 'need' to it is wrong.

As one of my friends said so wisely "Until they make proficient substitutes for meat our bodies still need it." that means until we can be vegetarian without taking all those supplements its ok to eat meat. I was vegetarian for a while and i ended up becoming anemic and had to go to the hospital and i was taking supplements

I think its okay within reason, meaning don't overdo it.
