| Hey guys, I was born in Vancouver, BC, Canada but currently living in Winnipeg, Manitoba (also Canada). I started my political life as a heavy Republican just because of my father's political stance (he's an American from Texas), but as I got older learned to not take things at face value and to really evaluate a situation and decided based on my own findings. Those findings eventually lead me to being a self-proclaimed Communist, but after a careful analysis of Communism and contrasting it with my views of the real world and the way I believe the world to work, have scaled back my radical-leftness to call myself simply a 'Socialist'. (We're all Socies up here in Canadal and haha) Hopefully I will be around for a while, Id like to get some of my own thoughts and essays up here and get into some good discussions with everyone! | |

Canadian health care system is the best in the whole American continent! Bravo! I dont know about the best, but its definately available! Our healthcare is severly underfunded and understaffed, you get alot of propaganda from people like Michael Moore praising our system, but go into an ER for a broken bone or something non-immediately life threatening, and youll sit there for a good couple hours (6-8 at my last visit) But everyone is covered and able to get it, so its a start! Haha Thanks for the welcomes.

| What you said about Canada and Socialism, I know a few Canadians.
One of them is a TOTAL Israel-head and believes Palestinians and Muslims are all terrorists and should be wiped off the Earth. I told him he didn't deserve the nationality of Canadian.

| I drove thru the US on my way from Montreal this summer and I was very uneasy the entire time.
Its two seperate worlds, for sure. People outside of North America think we're the same, but it would be like comparing France to Spain, in my own opinion.
