Has world war III already begun?

For years I have heard rumors, and considered that it would start a lot sooner than later. But to day, I have come to thinking. I think yesterdays engagement may have started the third world war. Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, Georgia, various south american countries, possibly Korea and Iran.

Not to mention the fact that even american citizens have turned against the government.

Opinions?

Well, maybe it's an introduction, maybe not. After all it's 888 isn't it? Many assoiate "8" with power...

yea, I think it is starting just because so many international conflicts that are escalating in to full scale war.

you mean now south ossetia that was attecked by georgia? georgia is not a big deal for russia, some little "war" i you can call it is not a world war! in a world war nearly all country fightn one some side

I agree with RedSoviet. Is it bad? Of course. ANY war is bad, but they ALWAYS happen. Genocides, fighting, bombing. Yadda, yadda. Nothing new. There's ALWAYS wars going on between this small country no one's heard of and that one. Then there's those countries that change governments every two weeks. I'm not concerneed about WWIII. IF it escalates to that level, well, no one's going to ACTUALLY use nukes. EVERYONE knows that ANY attack will be met with an equal responce. Not to mention anti missile technology. Really, very, very few will make it through. Thus it will have been a waste a good ICBMs. I just hope the Russia Georgia conflict ends soon. It's a pretty high casualty count for so soon, sadly.

Oh, and there will be zombies alongside the mutants and aliens. I'm prepared. Are you?

I'm not sure if nukes wouldn't be used... after all USA used nukes against Japan, considered to use them against China and Viet Nam and considered to use them against Iraq.

I also hope this conflict with Georgia ends quickly, just I hope Georgia learns a costly lesson.

I'm not saying Georgia is the cause of this, just that if you look at history small conflicts like this have triggered huge wars.
