right wing friends

this is my first post in a long time, my internet has been horrible.

anyway i have a friend who is overtly anti-anarchist without any logical explanations for his opinion. we did however co-exist for a long time and he became one of my closest friends. unfortunately earlier this week politics got brought up and i ended up calling him a spoiled member of the bourgeoisie who didn't know what he was talking about and was ignorant to the world. obviously he was very offended and he proceeded to spread crap all around our group of friends. finally after days of toiling we have made peace and sorted things out.

my question is this: should radical leftists have right wing friends or associates? and if so where is that middle ground?

yes they should, just dont talk politics or talk politics in a not aggresive way

Sure why not? I just don't talk politics around them.

You can just talk about poltica, but in a peaceful way, not agresive.

I have had a friend who I met while he was an anti-semitic fascist who admired Hitler and wanted to wipe all homosexuals off the earth and I was in the transition from a Zionist to a brief Social-democrat stage. Inspite of his anti-semitism and my zionism we managed to find common grounds and had very interesting discussions. He's 3 years older than me.

After 7 years of talking he has stopped being fascist and regards some left-wing ideas common to his own. I'd call him "nietzchesian cultural aristocrat" since while he's completely against capitalism he thinks we all are born with different capiabilities and should enjoy rigts according to them and is obssesed with western (specially german) classical and romantic culture (he's a fan of mozart, bach, wagner and Beethoven). Else he still thinks Jews are the pupeteers that pull the power cords of at least USA. He's still right wing but is far from the position he used to have.

Even though I don't know him in person (we met through internet, and we live 1km away from each other) I consider him a close friend. 7 years of talking, exchanging political views and telling to each other some very confidential issues have made me think so of him.

Even a jew can befriend an antisemit given the proper context.

My best friend is right wing too. He's a promoter of a "utopian capitalism". And my other friends, well, I'd call them politically undefined, probably indfifferent. They kind of people that would adapt either to right wing or left wing dominance.

Actually I don't have a single real life friend who is left wing, well perhaps one but he's center-left.

yea, all my RL friends are right-wing, or center left.

but I all ways argue with them about politics, though we are still friends.

This is more about personal issues Red. Maybe you can be friend of a right-wing person and screw him politically.

its imposible, how you can be friend with someone wen you now, that he contradicts all what you belive in

how can i be silence and ignore someone when i now that he maybe thinks that im scum and trash, and i think it too
