| Today is 9/24/08
Callin it now. by 10/5/08 the U.S will be under Martial Law. One week later full scale 1929 style depression...
Bushadmited today that our economy sucks. Debates will be canceled on Friday..even in 1864((American Civil War)) Debates did not stop.
Bush is calling for both Obama and Mccain to meet him in D.C

Don't get your hopes up. Lenin's philosophy is pertinent here. "A revolution is impossible without a revolutionary situation; furthermore, not every revolutionary situation leads to revolution." I believe that even if this economic crisis leads to a revolutionary situation, revolution will not be possible. The people of America won't turn so easily to revolution, they'll first turn to their political leaders (which is funny -- not to mention very, very sad -- since they don't control the economy).
"Fascism is capitalism in decay". Another Lenin quote that pertains, if Dio is indeed correct in his assertion that we're on the verge of martial law.
At least martial law would take my mind off of the monotony of poverty, and give me something to think about (or more accurately, to be pissed about).

I think martial law and an economic crisis is enough to constitute a revolutionary situation. I was asserting that even in this revolutionary situation, as Lenin suggests in his little quote, revolution would not be likely. And i attribute this to the sheer ignorance of the american people, as well as the fact that they're lives are relatively easy compared to countries in which revolution has occured in the past. The american people, for those reasons, will not be so inclined towards revolution even in spite of a revolutionary situation. Hope i clarified my point well enough.

Whos to say a revolution didnt happen in 1930? Think about it. Roosevelt WAS president for life. He served more terms then any other and had he not died in office((making what I just said Literal)) He probably would of been elected again. Roosevelt was also surprisingly left((in the American sence.))_________________ |
