- Messages who promote - or evoke - illegal practices are prohibited.

These are the basic rules you have to obey. I have the full right to delete the account of any member, who breaks the registration agreement terms. I gave you the possibility to give us your suggestions to add new rules and make changes in our forums. You have been granted guilds, a more friendly style with yellow letters, since a member had health concerns with red letters, you can join parties, elect chairmen who have moderator rights in your party. Many things have changed in democratic elections, but you cannot expect that you can change everything. Just because you are a majority, you have no right to infringe upon the basic rights of a minority. A majority could decide to commit a genocide on a minority democratically. Our forum is democratic too, however WR democracy has its limits too. Even a majority in WR will never be able to remove the basics of ethical communications.

If you cannot obey the rules you agreed to and disagree with the rule that members shall not engage in slander and use insults, I ask you politely to leave our World Republic.

There has been a strong tolerance to messages of this type. Actually users infringing this rule have been granted much more consesions than those infringing other logically less severe rules. Namely Calinis, mattabesta and Liche.

Kenzu wrote:

the coarseness and vulgarities,

I don't see how coarseness and vulgarities imply a real problem or a problem as severe as slander. While I would punish slander I wouldn't punish vulgarity.

Kenzu wrote:

Disregarding the fact that most users here are not French (I'd dare to say the closest we've got to french here are the Quebecois and legally they're not French) why would we even care about the French law? What makes it so right and reasonable? Why would revolutionaires stand by such law?

Kenzu wrote:

This is plain censorship. This terribly limits the capabilities of a politics' forum.

Kenzu wrote:

Well... since many users here are non-native english speakers a high degree of tolerance on these regards should be granted to them. Either way, while good grammar is more pleasant and eases communication, I don't see why we should apply coercion in these regards.

Then where's the democraticity of this?

Kenzu wrote:

Which basic rights? In no way does cursing or being vulgar infringes the basic rights of anyone. However slander does. Slander is a direct attack against the targeted person's actions and moral integrity. Yet here they're treated as equal offenses. Personal attac ks are as well more serious than saying "f u c k", much more serious. Yet, they're treated the same way here.

That doesn't make sense. The majority of the people know it and they want it changed. If such is impossible then this site, unfortunately, is not democratic.

Kenzu wrote:

I'm sorry Kenzu but this paralellism is totally out of context. Here we're talking about laws and actions that do not have any impact over the general integrity of anyone. Else we're talking about reasonable demands, demands that are backed up by well structured and fair arguements. Don't compare this to a democratic genocide.

Kenzu wrote:

Limited democracyy is not democracy. And check very well what we're adressing, it's not a struggle for our right to say "f u c k", it goes beyond that. In case you haven't noticed I'll refresh your mind: It's a struggle for freedom and justice....

Lets put an example:

A user that contributes a lot to discussions whose posts are reasonable and well structured says "f u c k". That's his only "fault". Yet he is given the same damn punishment as a guy that engages often in personal attacks, slander, who most of the time spams and when he doesn't spam he's just trolling.... what's fair or overall logic about this? In my view nthing, but this is the reality here.

So the people demands for a change to that absurdity thinking that the site is based on democratic principles... what do the people get? A plam in their face and threats.

Kenzu wrote:

This is another challenge to democracy. And it has been explained above, however I'll stress it again:

Coarseness cannot be treated equally to slander. You can politely ask someone not to be coarse but you have to take measures against a slanderous individual, if not by banning him (which is pure repression) by ridiculing him. Reincidence should be punished and reincidence after "being forgiven" should be punished with utmost severity.

All trials should be democratic. The will of the people shall be respected.

How dare you besmirch my old name's meaning. There is no justice, hence, there is no peace. It was more than just a quote of Malcolm X, it's reality, much like materialism. When there is justice, peace will follow: So why do you think there is no peace?

Quote :
Messages who promote - or evoke - illegal practices are prohibited.

I'm sure i've done this a multiplicity of times. Yet more evidence of inconsistency.

I'm not trying to just clearing myself.

and I didn't finish reading it and that's why I didn't answer the question.

I think there is no peace because every one is over reacting and breaking all the rules.

cursing is over-reacting? Asking Kenzu to be consistent is over-reacting? Over-reaction is hardly ever a reality. Why do people in Palestine suicide bomb? They feel they have no other way. It's usually in reaction to a death of family members and the destruction of their home, not to mention the fact that they are constantly being bombed. Is this an over-reaction? It may not be justified, but it is certainly not an over-reaction. Why do people in the Amazon of Brazil kidnap? To feed their people (usually one kidnapping is worth 30 or 40 bank robberies). It may not be justified when they are cutting off ears and such, but it is certainly not an over-reaction.

So why are people leaving, or getting ready to leave this site? They've used their voice, they were ignored. What's left for them to do? They don't have administration rights or anything, so what else can they do? Why would they just put up with Kenzu's BS when it's not worth putting up with? The obvious reaction to Kenzu's autocracy is to leave, so that's what they are doing.

As a socialist, you should understand material roots Liche.
