“Copenhagen - A Danish court has jailed a man for sexually abusing his former girlfriend, despite the fact that she had signed a contract agreeing to be his sex slave, media here reported on Friday.

The 24-year-old man, whose name was not given, had held a woman with whom he had previously had a sadomasochistic relationship bound in a cellar.

He whipped and raped her, but insisted she had agreed to the abuse by signing a “sex slave contract,” the Ritzau news agency reported.

A Copenhagen court ruled the man had tricked her into signing the contract, and sentenced him to three years behind bars.

The couple had met after splitting up so the woman could sign some papers.

She told the court she had not noticed he had slipped a contract into the pile stating that she agreed to be his slave in a sadomasochistic relationship, Ritzau reported.

The man had shown up at her apartment a week later, handcuffed and gagged her and drove her to their former home. After abusing her, he had left her chained to a water pipe in the cellar, from where she had finally managed to escape.


In addition to the prison term, the court sentenced the 24-year-old to pay his former girlfriend compensation of about €9 600.“

this story is sad, I'm in my bros room and showed him. I was just like "...wow...wow."

Nothing about this surprises me. Similar things happen daily but under circumstances in which people get away with it and there is no hope of escape. I watched this documentary on it. I beleive young women are regularly trafficked from some part of Ukraine to Turkey where they are sold into slavery and raped repeatedly. The authorities don't do anything about it even though they are quite aware of the situation. Something along those lines. Possibely the single greatest injustice still going on today.

Some people astound me with how insane they can really be. Yes a contract is binding, but most courts overturn shit like this in an instant. He probably thought it really WAS legal, too. Now, if it HAD been consenting, then there'd be no issue. "Sticks and stones may break my bones but whips and chains excite me."

As long as everything was consensual it would have been fine... but it wasn't.
