Happy Sinterklaas!

Yay! Today(5th dec) at the evening I get presents
Like you guys do only with Santa Claus, you only have other date and in the morning, while Holland,Belgium, Netherlands Antilles and Suriname have Sinterklaas.(Sint-Nicolas is his real name, the saint for the Christian stuff)

Well we don't have Santa Claus, but we DO have Sinterklaas, so he got his elfs only there called "Zwarte Pieten" what actually were slaves but Sinterklaas bought them and then free'd them, and the "Zwarte Pieten" thanked him by going with him.

Anyways, Sinterklaas was orginnaly from Turkey, also a thing, children put there shoes near the fireplace, and then the "Zwarte Pieten" put candy in it, wake up and there you go, candah <3.

The story of the children doing there shoes near the fireplace was this one.
Sinterklaas(Sint-Nicolas) was a wealthy man in a normal house, he had much gold, one day his poor neighbhoor had 3 daughters who were getting married, the 1st one was about to get married but they didn't have the money/gold for it, so when they slept Nicolas sneaked into there house and put some gold thingy in her shoe, next day the poor man's other daughter was going to get married, same thing happend and at last his last daughter was getting married, Nicolas did the same thing.

So there you go. :3
That's the shoe thing story.

Also he arrives at Holland/Belgium with a boat, like the last week of november, he suppose to come from Spain tough he didn't ever go to Holland(I think atleast), further I don't know the story behind Spain O.O

we have 13, one present EVRY time from the 11th to the 24th two on the 24th +whatever othere ppl give you.

anyway we have something like 20 santa's.
Polehopper, stub, Skyr eater, window peeker and Candel stealer are some of them.
