I just looked it up. Forget my last post. No. THere isn't going to be a degree for that. If there is, then I'm as qualified as the next guy.

Bigfoot doesn't exist.

Bigfoot doesn't exist, BUT

If he did, it would be a prehistoric ape that lived in the North West region of what is now North America.(that's Cryptozoology)

Cryptozoology is the study of cryptids, that is beings that are assumed to exist but are hiding.

I have some fascination with it wether it may be stupid or not. I thik it would be a very interesting hobby, and if any story of those heard was true, it would be quite thrilling.

I know what it is. And I'm not surprised there's no degree. WHile some have has sucess, MOST of the things studied are, well, bigfoot. Loch Ness. El Chupacabra. The Yeti. Behemoth and Leviathan. And Dragons, of course. Oh, and the Cyclops.

I support their efforts, but only half heartedly. Like I said, there have been some very nice suscesses, so they SHOULD be supported, but in a limited fashion. Especially those that are obviously crazy. Like the bigfoot guys and the Loch Ness guys. Hell, even El Chupacabra is more likely.

And if you DO pursue this, I don't mean to insult, but don't be surprised when those in other scientific feilds laugh at you, for obvious reasons.

He says that everyone laughs at cryptozoology.

I personally don't. I find it interesting, although I acknowledge that I don't believe 90% of what it studies is true or has the explanations offered by cryptozoologists.

In my view it is an interesting hobby.

Yea it is interesting, and some are like, the possibility of a species escaping a Zoo and populating an urban area. Their is a TV I sometimes watch and they had another species of known Humanoid (Orang Pendak or Hobbit), and also Black Leopard of USA.

Sadly everything about the Orang Pendak, and no, he's spelling it right, arethe locals screwing with people, or mistaking other animals for it. There have been some sightings, just as there have been for bigfoot and loch ness. And loch ness is a physical impossibility. I mean, the most popular pic of it was done in a bathtub. He, he, he. But anyway, I know nothing of the black leapord, admitedly. I'll look it up and edit this if I feel I should. If I don't feel the need, I'll say.

Wait. Did you mean the leapord was escaped? Because all I found was a thing about black leapords being mistaken as black tigers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_tiger_(animal)

That's just it. What they tought was a black tiger as in fact most likely a leapord. They saw black tiger. It was a leapord. Just one of those creatures that was mistaken for another.

Well I admit, chubacabra IS one of the better possibilities. It's USUALLY described as some sort of dumb monster, but, yeah.... Now, I DO think it's possible. I've only heard one certain possibility in this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WylFysiAKEo&feature=rec-HM-r2

A cyote that likes to eat goats at night. THAT I can buy. The wingged thing with eight eyes I usually hear? Uh, no.

Shabazz wouldn't be pleased to read that Razz Anyway, tis is off-topic.

ryptozoology is interesting but is pretty much considered a pseudoscience instead of science so even if there were institutions that certified cryptozoologists, said certificates wouldn't have wide recognition.
