Dose Godwins Law apply on this forum? I mean it is a politically based forum Nazis and Hitler are bound to come up.

Godwin's shows that it's bound to come up ANYWHERE. Here sooner than most places, as you've proven.

I really, really, really try to avoid invoking Godwin's Law.

It's pretty easy to do, too. And, when you avoid doing it, people respect you for it.

If you're arguing for Socialism, it's best to avoid rhetoric like that. That's been a huge point that I like to stress. Fascism was a very real ideology that had its own meaning; we have reasons to object to it, but it is unfair to label things that are not Fascist - yet are opposed to Socialism - as Fascist, because then, well, people will just stop listening to what you have to say.
