| Let's say someone spams or trolls really hard, obviously he will get banned.
And as you for a more democratic canidate will post a poll, yes?(If no don't answer next one).
But, if the poll is up, and its not yet decided if he will get banned, what will happen to that person who spammed/trolled? Put him under house-arrest or seomthing?

| Well, if that person is really spamming and bothering people, the person should be dirrecly banned until the real decisions have been taken. The poll would be very short (max 2 days) and then, after, the decison would be applied.
Or maybe we can take an other type of decision, another system than polls that would be better before banning someone If an administrator recieve 3 PM because members think a person should be banned, then, the person is going to be banned, but to let the chance to other people to give their opinion, there would be a poll during one or 2 days to decide is that person deserve to be banned or no.
I would precise that the administrator would in right to make a jugement if that person should be banned or no during the poll. Each case is different. If that person really looks like trolling very hard, he could be banned during that time, if not, there's real urgent need to see that person banned.

| Well, yeah, But it's still relative to the case. In the case where the member is really trolling hard and disturbing people, yeah, I think that would be the best thing to do. The automatic ban should only be when it's necessary or looks very evident. Otherwise no need to ban. | |

| first 3day ban, and the Troll is aloud back on, but blocked from everything except the trial. And also I would do a poll to see how much spam before they are banned (they will get notified by PM saying Warning, you have comitted spam). | |

But, if the poll is up, and its not yet decided if he will get banned, what will happen to that person who spammed/trolled? Put him under house-arrest or seomthing? How about we deal with the decision making rather quickly, and allow this troll a couple more days to do his worst (note the exaggeration here). If the person is trolling, we'll know immidiately, and be able to decide quickly how to resolve it. I'm leaning towards a sub-forum, accessible by all those members we know are not trolls, and this committee will resolve the problem as soon as possible (i think three day polls would be sufficient). Then, after solving the issue quickly, any part of the committee that may not have been there for a few days can give their opinion, and if there's enough dissent, the ban can be removed/applied according to popular opinion. I think this is the safest, fastest, and most democratic way to run the security of the site. As for any proposals for change on the site, the process can be slowed down a bit so as to ensure everyone gets a chance to give their opinion.

Put him under house-arrest or seomthing? under my system if the deliberations take that long then the admins yet again have a sub majority vote, to determine the outcome if anyone is displeased, they can call a poll at anytime except for the person on trial. |
