| Bad News: Emperor Penguin
A Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution study in January 2009 found Emperor Penguins will be extinct by the year 2100 due to global climate change.

| Won't that Pinguin be dead earlier then 2100? _________________ "In war, there are no unwounded soldiers."--Jose Narosky "A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities; an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties." --Reginald Mansell |

What does this have to do with the initial post?
And what does this thread have to do with this section of the forum? |

Because it says that the pinguin will be dead in 2100, so I ask if it wont be dead already then._________________ "In war, there are no unwounded soldiers."--Jose Narosky "A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities; an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties." --Reginald Mansell |

The initial post is adressing the extinction of that species of penguin, not the death of a single individual of said species. An individual doesn't become extinct. |

| What was this in before?
And hat's a bummer. But oh well. They adapt, or die. Hate to say it, but it won't be a huge loss. Well, biologically. We'll loose the cute little baby penguins, which will suck. Meh. They'll likely adapt somewhat, assuming nothing hapens to decimate their population, IE, man. In other words they're doomed. _________________ "Jenaveve took everything from me. | BS, even Icelandic glaciers will take 800 years to melt, the 3 KM deep Ice shelf in Antarctica will take thousands of years. |

No one is worrying about the moment in which glaciers will become water entirely but about the moment in which they would have molten enough to represent a hindrance to wildlife there a phenomena the manifestations of which are already visible. |

Don't spam, Liche. Also, your statement doesn't make much sense I must say.
I'm merely pointing out what the whole post is about and the concerns for which it has sprouted. |
