I hear horrible things about the country, many of whichj i feel is an over exaduration, but some i feel are true.
whats with its human rights
were things better under kim sung? or was it always that way?

As a Korean, I feel greatly ashamed and angered at the two "men" representing "north" Korea. And Kim Il-Sung's son, Kim Jong-il, is HARDLY his namesake.

Under Kim Il-Sung's rule, some things were better, like the food rationing system worked GREAT. Everything was industrialized very quickly. Hell, Kim Il-Sung even surpassed the South in economy at one point!

Then he dies, Kim Jong-il (that fat bastard SUNVABITCH) takes over, institutes Juche, and the infamous "Songun" policy.

Everything crashed downhill from there.

Kim Jong-il merely ignores the will of the Koreans, set only to satisify himself. He simply doesn't give a damn about the treatment of the normal population and even the army. Seen pictures of the Korean People's Army members? Testimonies? None of them are exaggerated, as matta said.

He is EXACTLY like Stalin. Devil's incarnate.

Perhaps even 2 times worse. Even the children know about the "reeducation camps". Parents tell them, "Be quite or the camps will get you!" to get them to sleep.

If you go to South Korea, never say anything in favor of socialism. Otherwise this might have serious consequences for you. Even if you are a foreigner.

I believe that South Korea holds the record for the longest detained political prisoner. From the 2002 Guinness world records:

But the conditions of the workers in the DPRK are certainly not acceptable.

The always visible threat of NK is stressing the good Korea to sometimes overreact. Also I can imagine, that the soldier was executed during the time of dictatorship in SK. I know you like dictators, but usually they use barbaric methods to secure their power.

I find that to be highly true. To quote a random Youtuber's comment, "Same shit, different ideology."

Even worse, the opposition Grand National Party of Korea took office last month (sometime Feburary) and those guys are the EXACT same guys who imprisoned loads of innocent people and commited the Gwangju Massarce in 1980s.

They haven't apologized for it.

No, it's not possible. Japan is VERY good allies with America. Moreso than Korea. America personally doesn't CARE about victims that don't benefit them economically in some way, even if the death and rape count was over 20 million, America just doesn't give worth a DAMN.

And like some of our fellow comrades said here, if a teacher in Japan speaks about the Rape of Nanjing in some way, they are fired (indefinately) and possibly even arrested.

Most of the Japanese on the island actually DO believe Japan NEVER committed horrid war crimes against Chinese, Koreans, Dutch, Russians, etc.

They even deny "comfort women".

And what does the American government do?
