I can understand how people besieged and bombarded during 4 years isolated from any possible source of food would recur to cannibalism of dead people as opposed to kill people to eat. I don't see how the actions of people forced into that by their condition be in any way objectionable.

Plus socialism has nothing to do with that. Anyone with a tadbit of knowledge on socialism and with at least some common sense would know that.

Now what I can find reprobable is that a man chooses to isolate himself from sexual practice by embracing a certain faith and use the position as a respected and authoritative figure this faith and its practice allows him within a certain community to discharge his sexual needs on children just to be protected permanently by his institution.

Now that is fucking reprobable. To voluntarily join a child-fucking club that somehow is devoid of any responsability in most of the world thus granting you with immunity to practice rapism at will. That is reprobable. Just to be part of such an organization... really that is obnoxious. Let alone be in a high position within it and dare to protect those who perpetrate those acts.

And of course it is not less reprobable to try engaging in the apology of such an institution having enough knowledge on their activities and furthermore capitalize on someone else's tragedy just to substantiate that apology with a paralellism (argumentative falacy). That is also reprobable.

We can't deny that cannibalism, no matter the reason why it is commited, is still Cannibalism. The morality is still questionnable BUT those people acted like that not because they were socialist, believe it's right or because they like it. They did that because they didn't have the choice. This kind of thing happened a lot of time.

It's not the same to be forced into cannibalism by the situation than to voluntarily chose to sexually abuse children and protect those who do it.

The catholic chuch has nothing to do with pedophiles, even if it protects some ( by pure professional and religious solidarity, the same way a syndicate would do with a pedophile worker. ) We, catholics, had always been close tie, in the best times, and in the worsts.

It's not slander. It's a fact supported by heaps of evidence. Solidarity? More like irresponsability, indifference and incongruence which in many cases is premeditated.

As for a syndicate, I don't see how the syndicalisticity of syndicate is any way linked to such a case given the fact that a worker's syndicate functions quite differently than a religious institution specially the Catholic Church. In the case of a workers' syndicate (being this pretty much any community) in which the workers have a high level of awareness they would most probably break this workers' contact with children instead of merely sending him to another community. However, given actual conditions it's quite likely that in many communities he'd be simply killed, harrased, physically threattened or imprisoned.

Zeal's not saying the ENTIRE church is at fault. However one cannot deny the fact that the church, HIGHER UP the heirarchy, protects these people STILL.
