is thier an evolution challenging attack on schools
i just read that the Sotuh is having another court case over wether evolution can be tough in school, and wether ID should be menotioned

i personaly think ID is crap, and evolution holds true, your opinions?

Same. It's the whole "what's a scientific theory' thing. I have a theory to. The universe was created by a flying spaghetti monster. I REALLY hope someone brings that up. It's JUST as viable as ID. Literally, that was the whole thing that created it. Anyway, have a link to the story? Look, if the judge is actually impartial, the same thing will happen there as in Dover, and I'll be happy.

When scientists use the word theory, it has a different meaning to normal everyday use. In science, a theory is not a guess, not a hunch. It's a well-substantiated, well-supported, well-documented explanation for our observations.

Explain what you perceive a theory to be. A theory holds more intellectual and scientific weight behind it than the general public tends to think.

No. It was during the Kansas State School Board's decision on this same thing. The story is on the website the creator put up, along with his letters.

they are not the same. if that is what you are pointing out

a thoery is the hightest possible acclamiation is science aside from fact(and there is none)
a theory has Never been proven Wrong
hypothesis is a guess, so is not a thoery

If it's been proven wrong, then it's no longer a theory. The theory of Lamarkian evolution is still called a theory, but in title only. It's semantics. And a hypothesis can become a theory when the observations, not just physical evidence, points to it. Not MUCH of a theory is still a theory, and may be jsut the beginings of one, waiting for more information, and is prone to being thrown out at a whim once the evidence shows otherwise. The theory of abiogenisis. It's in its infancy, but is considered a theory.However it may be that science does not consider certain things theories yet, and the general populaous does. Fortunately the general populouce has no say in science, because the general populace are idiots.
