Hm, interesting.
It's true, one should not try to do the same job with more powerful, but less accurate weapons, which is what we have now. Unfortunately, as the article says, and as is true, tima and time again the predictions of what these weapons will do is always somewhat.... overestimated. They're rarely as accurate as the simulations, and 99 percent of the bomblets detonating? Yeah, I doubt that, somewhat. I agree, we need better tech with our weapons if we are to actually require them.However, I really wish they would be more honest in the capabilities of these things.
However, one must also consider that without those 40 bomblets, a nation will have to use more of the conventioanl types.
