My Life

is completely falling apart... My mom's ex boyfriend and the father of my half brother, just got out of prison and I honestly believe there is a very high chance of him coming to my home and instigating violence or trying to kidnap my brother who is 3... what angers me the most is there is nothing the state can do but issue a restraining order, but that means nothing to a mad man... He use to abuse me and my siblings when I was younger and he's been in jail since I was 13 so despite my obvious physical growth since that time, I am still unconfident in my ability to defend myself and my loved ones...

i would never share information like this on the internet but i have alot of trust in some of you guys, particularly zealot and it just feels good to get this shit off my chest... thanks for listening guys

I think your mother should get protection of some kind, to be safe.

Hope that it doesn't go to a fight, but arm your self with some weapon, and since in the US you can injure or even kill(I think) someone out of self protection it would be no problem to get sued or something for that, atleast I think that's legal in the US.

But who knows maybe perhaps he changed in jail.

I understand myself how serious this is - I remember once I had been mugged by some teenagers when I was out at 9:00 at the street beside mine. Luckily we could fight our way out, and literally for the week after that I came outside armed with a swiss army (insert object here) and semi auto BB (insert object here). BB guns, even if fairly harmless, they can deter an attacker, and especially if painted black, intimidate them.
My advice is to keep a BB gun because it is inexpensive, easy to obtain. Keep it loaded and cocked somewhere easy to reach. I have mine right behind me on a shelf, hidden by some books.

Oh and being chased by some drug dealers with a gun in complete dark, not fun.
