If I may, how do you identify yourself? Would you say you're a Communist, a Socialist, or anything else?
Not to get complicated, I consider myself a Leninist. Just a Leninist, not a Trot, nor a Stalinite or Mao Zedong Thought, I don't like to be sectarian.
I like to mash different tendencies up and make a big ideological glop of ideas. I like the term Neo-Leninist. I believe that Stalinism has it's certain place in the world. I believe the poorest African countries could use an authoritarian government, but of course, not oppress civil rights like Stalin sometimes just
happened to do.
The reason Maoism worked in China before the capitalist reforms is because Maosim focuses on the peasantry, something that isn't a good strategy for first world countries.
I believe in countries like America, democratic socialism is the way to go. A violent revolution would not turn out well. Social democracy alone has
made the Danish people having the happiest lives in the world.Violent worker's movements in the Americas have never worked well. But democratic revolutionary socialist movements like the Eugene V. Deb's Socialist campaign in 1912, got
6% of the popular vote!
My ideology of Neo-Leninism at a glance:
-Vanguard: Party, unions, people, and working class representations in all aspects of society. The Vanguard should the vehicle of revolution.
-Whatever floats your boat-Poor countries need more authoritarianism, yet more civil rights. First world countries have some freedoms, but are usually hostile to violent revolutions(ie Haymarket bombing) We need revolutionary, but democratic socialism in the the first world.
-Civil libertarianism-Support of civil rights. Gender and race equality, gay liberation, worker's rights, animal welfare or animal liberation(your choice), and youth liberation and freedom of speech are a must.
-Imperialism is the highest form of capitalism-the purpose of worker's liberation is to bring international revolution. This does not mean we forcefully takeover every country we see. To quote Malcolm X:
“One day, I remember, a dirty glass of water was on a counter and [Nation of Islam leader Elijah Muhammad] put a clean glass of water beside it. ‘You want to know how to spread my teachings?’ he said, and he pointed to the glasses of water. ‘Don’t condemn if you see a person has a dirty glass of water,’ he said, ‘just show them the clean glass of water that you have. When they inspect it, you won’t have to say that yours is better."
Aid all comrades in their struggles, but don't force your own conditions on them, as they might need a different variant of socialism to control and manage their country.
-Get rid of the state as fast as you can. Workers of the World, Unite!
Those basically are my beliefs.
