I'm just saying this statement is not universally or always true.

Does acknowledging and then trying to fix them make you one?

Dissidence: Disagreement, as of opinion or belief; dissent.

Dissent(to better understand Dissidence): to differ in sentiment or opinion, especially from the majority; withhold assent; disagree.

Acknowledgement: Recognition of the existence or truth of something.

Two very different things.

Well isn't patriotism about being proud of your country and rant about how great it is.
So how is it the highest form of patriotism when you need to acknowledge a problem in your country.

If you asked what the problem is in America to patriots they'll probably say "liberals" lol.

But anyways, if you want the best for your country then yeah you need to acknowledge that there are problems and you should do the best to give an answer to those problems.

If you love you country like a true patriot, you would don't always love it because its so good, but rather because its your country. Because you love it you probably want to fix its problems.

And that doesn't make you a dissident, country-wise for you're not disagreeing with your country or with its existance, you're merely disagreeing with either its status quo, its government or a certain situation affecting it, not with a characteristic intrinsic to it.

And, CKX, what you describe resembles more nationalism than patriotism.
