Whats on my mind....

Safety dance is totally a fucking metaphor. Men Without Hats aren’t telling us to go around acting like morons and dancing. It means to live, let loose and have fun. There are so many fucking morons these days that don’t care about anything but dancing and fashion, and not caring about things that really matter, like the injustices that happen in front of us on a daily basis. I’m not saying music isn’t awesome, and I’m cool with dancing. I just don’t think our lives should revolve around it. I’m not the one telling people not to have fun, I’m just playing the devil’s advocate. The ones who really don’t want you to have fun are the ones who produce the music we love.

Do you mean people who choose to make something "fun" with there lives, for example becoming professionnal dancers or guitarist, for example, are wrong? Wrong because they decide to have fun instead of carrying about bad injustices and all?
At some point I agree with you on that, we can't only care about that, but I don't belive it is a crime to try to enjoy life the best as we can since we can't force people to always live thinking of things going wrong around the world I mean... it's pretty depressing only thinking about that. If we can just find the right middle, think of others, and think of our own happiness, then that's healthy. I really don't think that spending all our time on trying to solve social problems is psychologically healthy.
Although, I really think people closing their eyes on what happens around them isn't good either... That's being selfish and unconcious.
I think we can enjoy dancing and music, and make those our priority in life (as career for example) even if it's only because it makes us happy, but we can't forget about injustice, inequality and other social problems.

I said Im fine with dancing, just don't get to overwhelmed by it that you don't care about other things in life. Don't be ignorant basically.

Lol, yeah I read the whole thing but that sounded more like it's okay to love dancing and music and all, but that people should built their lives around those. Well, that was my interpretation of your text If that's not what you meant then we both agree to the same points xD
