| Mao Tse Tung: Hero or Tyrant ?
Chairman Mao Tse Tung is considered a great revolutionary by some and a tyrant by others both inside and outside of the PRC.
I would like to open this to discussion.

| Mao himself was a bad ruler and his doctrine is a branch of Stalinism so he was a traitor to Marxism-Leninism. | |

| During his rule, China stopped being a european colony and develloped into a socialist nation. Unpure form of socialism is anyway better than any form of capitalism. | |

| Ya, Mao was a hard line Stalinist. He split with the soviet union because he thought Khrushchev was too "liberal". Plus there's the "cultural revolution"...

| Tyrant without a doubt. Although i greatly admire his military genius and his ideas on guerilla warfare, he is no doubt an unjust ruler. Even within his own party he was known for his fierce and unrelenting cruelty. That, coupled with a hair trigger tempre equals bad news. Sorry Mao, but you're fit for the gulag. - Quote :

hahaha. Watch your step Cyprian; i'd insult in moderation since there's a three strikes rule on this site, and i've counted, today alone, at least.... | |

| that insult was actually intended as a cheeky pun rather than a actual insult - if I would try to insult him he'd probably not be able to coaprehand it. | |
