Not long ago I had a debate with someone who attempted to argue that Marxism was invalid on the basis that it was bourgeoisie logic.

Ie if Marx was correct about bourgeoisie logic being invalid when defending Marxism - is Marxism itself invalid ?

discuss-

wow it's like a spiral but I don´'t think that's a good point to start from but it shows that marx was invalid about something.

Well no, Marx was a member of the petty Bourgeoisie not the Bourgeoisie so he was acting in the interests of the proletariat.

He stated that the petty Bourgeoisie would be wiped out at the hands of the Bourgeoisie so it was in their interest to join the proletariat.

ie Marx = proletariat logic since he was acting/thinking in the interests of the working class.

Was he? I don't doubt it, but what did he do for a living?

I don't see how that follows, logically. Or maybe i'm just confused by your phrasing.
