Dunno. Could be cause he's a nasty piece of work, with about 100-200 thousand political prisoners and continues to waste valuable resources of maintaining an enormous army whilst the North Korean people starve. but thats just a guess. - Quote :

Not really. Marxism (which is not the ideology of the DPRK ruling elite, and never was) is democratic for a start. Nor does it focus on so called 'great men'. North Korea has kept all of the bad parts of capitalism (money etc.) and got rid of the good parts (democracy).

| north korea is not capitalist. it is a socialist utopia, like stalinist russia. this is what your idol would have loved. everyone is misrable, but equal nonetheless (except for kim jong il himself)! that is what you want, is it not? | |

He's an anti-communist totalitarian dictator who exploits the people's labor and ignores their needs and spends the profits on bourgeois luxury goods from the West for him and the rest of the ruling caste. The Communist Movement is harmed every time he or any other member of his Stalinist Worker's Party claims to be a Marxist.

Is there a facepalm emoticon anywhere? /offtopic. Are the means of production owned collectively by all of North Korean society? no. Are the means of production controlled by all of North Korean society? no. Is there money in North Korea? Yes. Is there wage labour in North Korea? Yes. Are goods in North Korea produced to sell? Yes. Does North Korea maintain a standing army? Yes. Are there classes in North Korea? Yes. A socialist society would have answered Yes to the first two questions and No to the other five. It may not be a free-market capitalist society but it maintains all of the meaningful characteristics of capitalism. The major difference being that the means of production are owned by the state (which is in turn controlled by the party elite). Hence: State Monopoly Capitalism.

| Holy shit. You can't be FUCKING serious. Look mr calinis...
Just because some fucked man who wants power and claims to be communist DOES NOT FUCKING MEAN HE IS A COMMUNIST!
That's like saying Christians are violent at heart because most of them are ignorant bastards.
Kim Jong-il and his cronies are so blantly anti-communist, it's not even funny. They are and HAVE been State Cappies.
Communism calls for the establishment of WORKERS, not some fucked up government. I guess Stalin told Kim Il-Sung, "Hay u. Here it says "workers state". Iuno what that means but I suppose it requires us men to control everything. lol"
Get a book and read up on your facts. NOW.

| you obviously dont know what fascism is. it is more than just an ideology in which one man has absolute power. like there is strong nationalism, and mostly there is imperalism.
so i think it is communist state, it also says that online on many sites.

| Mhm right - Indeed despite the national ideology, USSR just replaced that with Marxist ideology, other than that everything was exactly the-same, Marxism wasn't just considered a rational and reasonable choice of ideals, it was preached like a fanatical religious dogma.
And on the side - Imperialism isn't the same as Fascism.
