| I personally think life itself has no meaning, unless we give it some meaning.
Maybe live exists just due to some coincidences and the meaning of life might be nothing more than reproduction.
I however like to give it a different meaning. Hapiness. All we do in our life should be striving for the hapiness of us all. Because when we achieve our goals and reach happiness, certain hormones will be emitted into our blood vessels, called endorphines, and we all like them, dont we?

| I totally agree, that's why I'm leftist. The left is the key to achieving true happiness, when we all work together as one, we become one, and we become happy. | |

| Well, however I hoped someone might have a different understanding of the meaning of life which could bring us to a more interesting discussion. I am sure not everyone agrees the meaning of our lives is hapiness. | |

| The meaning of my life? I always think about that. I always think that what I'm doing? What I should do. Today's world makes me feel lost. The only thing I can do is follow my dream, luckly ,I'm young. | |

| There are always goals to achieve, existence is composed of endless series of processes and each one in one way or another leads to a progressive assertion. | |

| After revolving around this question since I have memory I've got to the following conclusion:
Life may be or not pointless, god may exist or not, we may be nothing but a series of chemical reactions. None of this is proven so we can actually chose the meaning of life and what's the meaning of life for me?
1. I want to believe there's a soul, a soul which comprises our identity, something completely beyond science. That feelings such as love, solidarity are completely beyond anything we can scientifically understand and so have sense. That our concept of good and evil, our likes etc. go beyond science. 2. I want to believe there's god or something like it. This thought combined with the thought that there's soul is teh only way I can't feel less than powerful balls of gas burning or black holes. I want to think that something more than plain physics, chemistry and mathematics rule existance. 3. Based on the previous, I define myself as my identity, as the series of values that conform me, as my tastes, as my concepts of good and evil, as my love to certain things, as my concsiousness. And all of that in unchangeable in essence, in just evolves. 4. There are different strengths: Physical, Intellectual and Soully (emotional). Physical is a strength completely linked to the body, to metabolism, nutrition, exercise etc. Intellectual is linked both to physical and emotional. Physically, brain need nutrients and energy to fully work, else we're all born with different intelectual capabilities. Emotionally it is influenced by stimuli, by moral values, mood, etc. And soul, it comprises our moral identity, our concepts of good and evil, our "self" to say it in some way. It can rule over teh others depending on its strength or be to some extent overshadowed by the others if quite weak.
This is my religious view. That's what reinforces my communist views.
However I don't the deny the possibility that I might be nothing but the incidental combination of carbon, sulphur, nitrogen, calcium, iron, chlorine, etc. that derived precisely in me. In that case I'd define myself as an angry and frustrated nihilist wo would be most glad to see everything just swallowed by blackholes and expanding stars.

| The meaning of life is to find the meaning of life.
But to find the meaning of life, your life has to have a meaning. So if you don't live life, your won't life won't have meaning, and there fore there is no meaning to your life. If you have no philosophy, then you won't know were to start looking for the meaning of life. If follow what others belive, and only what they belive, you will not find the meaning of life. For the meaning of life changes, depending on how you have lived yours.
It's a paradox! | |

| life has no meaning except to sustain life. thats it, hapiness is of no consqeuence as people try to add that, but it is not true. some people find the meaning of life even without happiness | |
