| Ah who cares about fighter planes, it depends on the training really. XD Like everything else in the world. Back on topic. List some of the M16s failures and the reason why you dislike the gun. Or, if you like the M16, tell us why. Ditto for the Kalashnikova. :B | |

The M16s he got from the US Army were pieces of absolute SH!7. The barrel melted after just two hundred rounds of firing. The plastic things in melee combat fared even worse. He remembers an M16 breaking apart at the stock AND receiver after just one "bash". And that was in the 1970s, a few years after Vietnam. If that doesn't tell you just how MUCH the M-SH17TEEN fails, then I don't what will. AK for the WIN!

| Why? Becuase. Just LOOK at all the variations of the AK. We have the 74, the Chinese "Type 81", 101, Sako Rk 62s, Galil, AN-94 (sorta), even Korea's Daewoo K2 rifle!
No other gun uses the direct impingment system EXCEPT the M16 rifle series!

| AK-47s. Despite the fact that they are pretty weak compared to more modern models, they are the most reliable assault rifle I know of.
Plus, any gun that even your grandmother knows is probably legendary for a reason. :p

| And poor Mikhail Kalasnikov is unbelievibly sad about his invention. I've read a book simply called, "AK". Although he has given us the modern doctrine of armies today, it has come at a terrible price... At the end, he wishes he could have invented the lawnmower instead. | |

As for the M16... 5 types? Bullshit. I've seen all those so-called "5 types" and they are EVERY SINGLE FUCKING SAME! M4? A shortened M16 with collapsing stock. M16/M203? An M16 with a freaking grenade launcher stuck to it. Colt "XM" series? Basically a "prototype" M4 rifle...with only slight differences to length and other useless features added.

| No, only some AK variants are the same. The RPK is a light machine gun BASED on the AK action and appearance. Do I see any M16 type machine guns? NO, I do not. It is because that plastic piece of sh!7 fails horribly and does a wonderful job at it too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_the_AK-47_and_M16Read that and hopefully, you'll change your mind. I like the AK simply because of one reason, reliability. | |
