You pretty much know who he his.

As a lead he actually wasn't that bad since Iraq was one of the most progressive countries in the Arab world. The Iran-Iraq War was started by the US and Israel so its nots really his fault but he didn't choose the fight the US invaded the first time since Bush had already promised not to intervene if he attempted to reclaim Kuwait.

While the Baath Party had a fascist wing it also had a Socialist Worker's wing
and in Iraq, rather than capital and the state being on par as is the Hitlerist model, the state generally controlled Capital. Aside from that, Iraq was very progressive before the invasion.

I know it was progressive, but I didn't know about the socialist stuff.

From every thing I've read on it, it just said it was fascist.
