about the Anarcho Syndicalist Union

Since AlekA4 is no longer with the forum, I motion WeiWeiWu (sorry if name is spelled wrong) become chairman. (is leader of the guild still entitled 'Chairman'.) and I also motion it should be renamed Syndicalist Union, which is what Zach, Alek, and myself, wished for.

Dude, I dig this so hard.

Am I supposed to do anything, or is this issue already solved?

Well, Alek is still the chairman of the Union. I'd rather wait a day or two before we close this thread and see if anyone else would like to be the chairman. If not, then I will gladly accept the position. But I'd rather wait and see if anyone would like to throw their hat in.

Just pm me when you are ready and give me the instructions what exactly to do.

Nope.

Syndicalism without the "Anarcho-" qualifier is an anti-Capitalist, labor-based ideology that views that labor unions should be in charge of regulating industry.

Anarchosyndicalists differ from this in that they are revolutionary; they not only view the unions as being the institutions that should regulate the economy - i.e. as opposed to the market or the State - but that they should also be the institutions through which all political decisions are made.

Basically, you would have, theoretically, a classless, stateless society wherein the unions of various different industries would equitably distribute wealth to their members. It's like centralized planning, only it is decentralized. It retains the positive aspects of Collectivist economics - which turned the Soviet Union into a First World country in less than five years under Stalin - but rejects the authoritarian aspects of centralized planning - which did occur under both Stalin and Lenin, though when Lenin put down the peasant farmers, it was kind of because his hand was forced, but that's a somewhat long story.

I honestly don't see it as being too extremely fundamentally different than Council Communism.
