most soviet snipers were hising in houses and took out stupid germans who went out of cover

Well, that is true to an extent. In the regular Whermacht Army, rape was a punishable offensive by death. So if you raped a person, you were gonna get a bullet to the head. But enough of the killings and rapes were committed to piss the Russians off, mainly by various Waffen-SS units and "Einzatgruppen" death sqauds.

What both sides did was undeniable however.
