Ways to run this forum.

This forum can't be run but in two ways:

In a chaotic manner or with a Popular Dictatorship.

How's that?

In a chaotic manner would be to grant admin status to each of the members so they could literally do as they please within the forum. Anarchy? No, chaos. Perhaps it would be anarchic if we all ruled the forum as a massive council that held periodic "meetings" to decide the development of the forum and we all were to abide by a code of mutual respect. Majorities would not enforce their will on minorities nor otherwise. Each group, that is a set of individuals in which ech individual that conforms it agrees with each other, would be autonomous yet would be respectful to the rest of the groups and would mutually cooperate in matters that should be determined by all (lets say for example, forum appearance) where consensus would be to be got (again, for example with forum appearance, we could get to that forgoten matter of the bi-colour flag with blue and red to rfepresent cappies and commies, just as an example). And of course, our chief admin, the founder, would have to agree as well to abide to a code of no intervention But well, how plausible is this folks? And picture the vulnerability against trolls.... Maybe we could mildy have this if the council would be to be comformed by longstanding, trustwothy and active members and new members would join as they were to be accepted by this council, that is, as soon as they gained the council's trust. Our chief admin would have to plea as a protector of this council's integrity for having, physically, the maximum power.

Everyone could monitor each other's administrative and moderative activities in the administrator's panel and shall someone begin to break our codes entirely democratic trials would be to be held.

But once again... how possible is this people? Since I don't think to be very possible (although would be awesome if we really got to such an agreement, it would be ideal, a real direct democracy) it would simply be chaotic.

The other option and actually defacto de only possible one since our chief admin can always revert all admins, is Popular Dictatorship.

That is adminship would be here to apply the laws decided by most and adminship would have to gain popular support in order to keep the forum's intergity (keep members satisfied with the forum or they'll simply leave, the forum dying with them, this forum has seen enough exodi to prove this point).

People would be to decide the amount of admins, their duties and the laws by which the forum should abide and admins would be there to enforce these but of course also excerting their point of view, that is, prior to enforcing rules, said rules would have to be dicussed within the people, accepted within the people and then confronted with the adminship which will accept or reject them, defending its position. Popular will should always prevail so long as it doesn't compromise the forum's e-integrity (weee, e-integrity!).

So well, those are my views on the ways this forum can be ruled.

i still do not see what is wrong with a republican approach

we have all the mods in a sort of legislative branch, and 3 admins.

while the admins may do as they please, the branch should have the right to block laws they find not the best ones possible(something like that)

that way we have each party involved with the policies(except the greens cuz i quit that cuz they had no real power anyway)

There are things that require rather long explanations.

I'll try to simplify it, if you don't get it it's your fault, it's explained in a detalied manner above.

Kenzu has all the power here regardless of what people thinks. Defacto his will prevails. Any admin is 2nd to him, yet so long as he is not online, their will also prevails if they want to enforce it. If the adminship pretends to keep a democratic as possible community it ought to follow what people ask it to and enforce it. As simple as that. Defacto it's impossible to run this forum in other way.

Screw it. Just get kenzu to rule with an iron fist and we'll be better off.

That's what he does and the site doesn't look quite well.

kk i see your point, and we cant give everyone adminsship, so whats really left?
