WTF?!?!
She clearly has no idea what she's talking about. For example she says that the terms right-wing and left-wing arise from quarrels between Marxist "fascism"(she clearly does not know the definition of the word) and and actual fascism such as Nazism when in fact this arises from France where monarchists who defended the interests of the aristocracy sat on the right side of legislatures and peasants who defended the interests of the people sat on the left. I doubt that any of the book is based on any sort of fact and fortunately I don't think thats the common opinion here.

I hope you are right. That fact that anyone with that opinion is taken seriously is what scares me.

The more and more I see American media, the more I think the people are easily brainwashed.

The left are not "fascist". Oh no, quite the opposite in fact. Rather, it is the American right who lavishly attack "liberalism" and pretty much have "foreign policies" that include invading other countries and fucking up the world to protect their own interests.

It is frightening but this country has a long history of fascism and this town has a long history of leftism; mayors are sometimes from the Green Party and once I believe from the Communist Party.
