| he asked how can the universe keep expanding if the law of thermo says that energy cannot be created or destroyed. he was wondering where the energy comes from
WELL alex, i asked some teachers and acctually
when the big bag exploded, it created alot of energy that pushed the plantes, and remember space has no friction or anything like that. so by newtons first law, and object in motion will stay in motion unless actedu upon by and outside force
there is no outside force, so the planets keep expanding
NO GOD INVOLVED ! | |

| Outside force? More like any force. If a bonding force emerged within teh universe then it would cause all matter to come together. | |

| gravity. if there where no gravity then if you fired a canonball it would just keep going and going for ever. without anything happened, with out losing force- energy | |

| thats why its slowing and yes any force could stop the balance ZEL
so if alot of stars and i mean alot imploded and cuases black holes, it could be enough to reverse the big band BUT REMEMBER ALOT OF STARS

and what do you know about logic and explanations

In theory, and If I undesstand correctly what a "black hole" actually is, they would combine and become one even larger black hole.

In theory, and If I undesstand correctly what a "black hole" actually is, they would combine and become one even larger black hole. That eventually would absorb all matter in teh universe and voilá, you get the Big Bang all over again!!!

| Unless these black holes collapse, eruputing with energy, thereby fueling the universe eternally, themselves. Which I think has been proposed before. Not sure.... | |

I believe there's not much evidence of black holes exploding. I got this idea: maybe the Big Bang is product of black holess absorbing all available matter, condition that when met, gives origin to the Big Bang.
