| It doesn't make it less atrocious, yet, I'm not engaging in an apology of the event I'm just mentioning how the legal system of your country works.
Canadian rapists:
Paul Bernardo - Life sentence Wayne Boden - 3 life sentences (fortunately he's got 9) Michael Briere - Life sentence with possibility of parole after 25 years (he pleaded guilty and regretting of his crime) Paul Callow - 20 years in prison which he fully served. People don't let him leave at peace - he's rejected by every community he tries to settle in. Michel Chrétien - Adoptive son of Prime Minister Chrétien, you do the math. John Martin Crawford - 3 life sentences Léopold Dion - Life sentence; killed by Normand Champagne Larry Fisher - Life sentence with pssobility of parole after 10 years Edward French - Christian Brother, accused of sexual assaults on children. Was given 12 months. Christian Religious institutions always working to keep rapists active and with freedom of action! Karla Homolka - Paul Bernardo's wife. 12 years, realased in 2005 without conditions. Graham James - Hockey coach. Served some (unspecified) time in prison and was banned from the CHA. Gilbert Paul Jordan - Probation after 6 years, arrested again after violating probation. Allan Legere - 2 life sentences, held at the SHU. Clifford Olson - Life sentence, all parole petitions have been declined. John Scheeneberger - Medicine Doctor, 4 years, revealed a method to foil DNA samples. Deprived from Canadian Citizenship and lost medical license. Peter Woodcock (what a lastname for a rapist...) - Has been serving 52 years in a mental facility.
Doesn't seem like they're getting mostly 4 years.

Depends. Was everybody drunnk? Then no. Was it a premeditated event that was planned out, or even a robebry gone wrong? Possibly. HOWEVER that's not the point of the thread, which is the death penalty. And you can rape 100+ women. It's still not okay to murder the one responsible yourself.

| You know, when you're in a religious institution courts tend to have greater liniency or is under the pressure of your religious institution. It is estimated that the Vatican has spent even more than 1,000 million dollars a year in trials against priests that have been accused of child abuse. | |

| Well, they receive nearly 70 million dollars a month in donations from Mexico. Imagine their combined revenue from all catholics in the world, speially those from USA, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland and Brazil. | |

I think not, but some guy told me that if someone give's him a blue eye, he punches him back. Sure, anyone would do that right? But if someone kills someone, does he deserve to be killed to? I mean its like lowering yourself to the killer, but still. "An eye for a eye, and a teeth for a teeth" If I said that correctly. So I am not sure.. What about y'all? I think it is clear that if some criminal kills your daughter, you will kill that guy if he won't be punished by the state. However a state itself should never have the power to execute anyone. I am against capital punishment done by the state. Life imprisonment is much bigger punishment than simply killing the criminal. Besides, if an innocent is killed, you cant revive him if you find out he is innocent, but you can free a prisonner who is innocent.

| If someone kills my daughter, as devastated as I would be, I would see no point in killing him. I'd just multiply the amount of human beings in grief and stain my hands with his blood while certainly, it wouldn't bring my daughter back. | |

Liche asked me if WR, and I thought it was still banned. I reinstalled Windows like 2 weeks ago, and I guess this time when I reinstalled Internet security I did something in the prefernces that doesn't block it. And also, according to that book, capital punishment was banned sometimes in the 1800s, but was then reinstated by Stalin and stuff.
