It woudn't work in Europe Actually, workers in Europe are quite progressive compared to american workers. They actually have a sense of class antagonisms and have a fair class consciousness. The US will never embrace full on socialism as it stands, the best the left could hope for in the US is a social democracy along the lines of what we have in Europe and even that's a 'long' way off . The working class in the US are clueless and buy into right wing propaganda. Care to tell me why half of the US working class vote for a party who shit all over them ? Cold war handover + racism + xenophobia + religious fundamentalism + blind patriotism + paranoia all fulled by Fox news and friends ?

as a socialist i can't agree with that, obviously. Maybe that's the best they could hope for in the next, i don't know, 30 years or so. - Quote :

Agreed, but don't forget "left-wing" propaganda. - Quote :

Ya... I don't see what you think our disagreement is over. I was only refering to the point of your post about Europe; i know the working class of america is brain-damaged.

Hmm, but aren't we inherently environmentalist (to some degree) just by being communist. I mean, we oppose capitalist pillaging, we're materialist thinkers, we understand the limits of the earth ( LEGALISE HEMP!!!)...

Why do you care what he thinks? And i actually agree with you, to some extent. Some human's aren't worth the resources they extinguish. The toll the environment takes on their account is just absurd. It would be more pragmatic to do away with them.

In India, Coca Cola drill and take their water from an underground source. Nearby small farming villages experience drought leading to failed harvests due to the fact that their wells no longer contain water. The farmers cannot support or even feed themselves forcing their sons look for work in factorys in the citys instead of farming the land as they have done for centuries. The farmers bring the matter to court - coca cola win on the grounds that the water source is too deep for the farmers to claim any ownership over it.

reforms aint enough. history proves this...hell current politics prove this. If they ever try to take back those reforms out come the AK47s Reformation is slow and boring, def not as fun as blowing stuff up , but still most reforms are stable and last. After the working class unite the rulling class will give reform after reform in order to prevent revolution - in doing so they dig their own grave. Either way socialism is achieved. I don't see it as socialism vs capitalism more- capitalism naturally creates the conditions that lead to the inevedable transition to socialism .

| They don't know the end result unless they know Marxism (Unlikely) and anyway if they knew it they would try to prevent it as long as possible. | |
