| Why is the former prime minister of Pakistan a hero? She made an important change in the islamic world, the most notorious of history of Islam, she was the first woman to become prime minister in a muslim country, tough many of the PPP's policies faced strong opposition from the conservative front, it was a first step in the islamic world. | |

| I definitely didn't expect that froma socialist.
While Pakistan's predominant religion is Islam, politIcally speaking, it has for long followed a more western-like form of government. | |

| Well, Ms. Bhutto made something, first woman becoming Prime Minister in a muslim country, we all know how women are seen as animals by muslims, cases of violence of women being tortured, arrested for saying something and in a country ruled by such laws Bhutto became Prime Minister and that's the importance of Benazir Bhutto. | |

| As I said, Pakistan is not ruled by theorcratic laws, it was a Presidentialist republic much like western nations an just ruled by a quite pro-western military dictatorship. And even so you see how she was killed. | |

| How can we refer to them as "terrible terriorists" if they where on our side they would be seen as "liberal freedom fighters" any way in the rise of fasism the anarchists and communists where jailed under the label "terriorist" although i am not a follower of Islamic extremism and see it as a hold back of socail evolution I would not beleave in the prevail of all arabic states to be blinded by Muslim prejudi. | |

| Many of the things that happened in the Bhutto administration were not to my liking, especially how corrupt her husband was. But what I admire most about her was her bravery. She knew she was probably going to die sometime. | |
