Im ready to start learning!

I have always had an interest in politics and different forms of government, but my knowledge on philosophies like anarchism and communism is somewhat limited. The idea of a completely self- governed society intrigues me, and these forums seem to be full of socialist ideas that I may learn from. My idea of a perfect society would be a society in which there are no boarders; no land that belongs to people. I think the idea of people owning parts of the earth is ridicules, and that everyone should have an equal claim on the world. People have no right to claim any object or land for themselves. Just because you have something in your possession doesn’t mean that you’re the only one with a right to it. An ideal society's citizens would all function off of each other. People would give more than they take and help each other. Not because it’s in their best interest, but because it is the right thing to do. I don’t believe that the average person is wicked, and i know there is good in everyone. People would fill every job that needed to be filled not for their personal gain or for money, but because there community needs them too. To achieve this mind set for a whole nation would take time of course, but in the end the society would thrive and prosper, and equality would come automatically! No more would the lower class suffer from lack of food and money. This is what i believe, and i would like you all to point out any problems you see, because im sure you see some. im sure there is a name for this belief, but i don’t know what it is.

Welcome to the forum! We always enjoy having people come here to learn, but it sounds like you already have the basics of left wing thought down. If you have any questions feel free to ask, I'll give you full access to the forums some time tonight (soonish) so you'll probably have full access by the next time you log in.

Our sites been a little less active lately, but old members are returning and we've been getting a lot of new members recently, so don't despair if you see no ones posted in a thread for a while.

Thats nice to know that i have someone to answer my questions and a nice welcome to this site. But is what i described in my earlier post considered anarcho syndicalism?

I wouldn't say so, Anarcho Syndicalism is pretty much the idea of using the influence of labor unions to revolutionize society. I would say what you described is more likely to be labeled as Orthodox Marxist or Anarcho-Communist.

haha I don't think the real one. I went to Star Wars in Concert this summer and you could get your picture taken with Boba Fett and stormtroopers or Darth Vader and some other characters. The only actor I know was there from the movies was the guy who played C-3PO in all 3 movies (Anthony Daniels).
